When is Diwali in 2026?
Diwali (Lakshmi Puja) is on Sunday, 8 November 2026, by the New Delhi calendar.
Why do festival dates change every year?
Hindu festivals follow the lunar calendar, which is about 11 days shorter than the solar year, so their Gregorian dates move each year. An extra lunar month (Adhik Maas) every few years brings the two back into step.
