How many Ekadashis are left in 2026?
There are 6 Ekadashis from October to December 2026, by the New Delhi calendar. The first is Indira Ekadashi on Tuesday, 6 October 2026.
What is Ekadashi?
Ekadashi is the eleventh day of each lunar fortnight in the Hindu calendar, so it falls about twice a month: once in Shukla Paksha (the waxing moon) and once in Krishna Paksha (the waning moon). Many devotees fast and chant on Ekadashi, especially in Vaishnava traditions.
Why do Ekadashi dates differ between calendars?
Ekadashi depends on the time of sunrise and the lunar day, both of which change with location, so a date can move by a day between cities. Vaishnava (ISKCON) calendars also follow a stricter rule, and sometimes observe Ekadashi a day later. Where that happens, the table shows the Vaishnava date too.
